Dr. Artis

Dr. Artis is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She has over 25 years of experience in the dental field. Ten of those years were dedicated to Dental Hygiene before deciding to take the step to become a dentist and ultimately her own boss. She is committed to quality service, quality care and being a lifelong student in the art and science of dentistry. 

She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery; University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Marketing; and Guilford Technical Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a professional member of the American Dental Association, the American Society of Women Dentist, North Carolina Dental Society, Guilford County Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Guilford County Women’s Society, National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women and local study clubs. She has served on the Guilford County Dental Society Executive Board as Member-at-large, Secretary, Treasurer, Special Programs Chair, President-Elect and President. She also served on the Board of the GTCC Foundation for two terms, and currently serves Ad hoc with several local organizations.

Her life professionally is dedicated to volunteering with several local organizations, and mentoring young people who are particularly interested in the dental profession. Personally, she has committed her life to loving her husband (Tony) of over 32 years and their two children (James-Anthony and Joi). 

In her free time, Dr. Artis enjoys reading a good book, having a good laugh, singing, riding roller coasters, seeing the blue waters and spending quality time with her family and friends.
